Domain portfolio management for investorsYour whole portfolio, watched while you sleep
A portfolio is only as good as the tooling around it. InfraNest tracks every name across every registrar, warns you long before a renewal, and goes after the drops you want the moment they’re available.

The problem
The name that dropped at 3am
For eight months you kept an eye on a name you wanted. The owner had let it lapse, and every few days you checked WHOIS. Then you were busy for a week. When you looked again, someone else owned it. It had dropped on a Tuesday night, and the registration took seconds.
Your own portfolio has the opposite problem. Hundreds of names across four registrars, each with its own login, its own renewal emails and its own idea of auto-renew. A good name lapses because its reminder went to an address you no longer read.
InfraNest puts every name you own in one list, wherever it is registered, with every renewal on one timeline. It watches the names you want through grace, redemption and pending delete, tells you when each one will really drop, and registers it the moment it does.
The old way
- Names scattered across four registrar panels
- Renewals you check one login at a time
- Drops you have to watch for by hand
- The good one lost while you slept
With InfraNest
- The whole portfolio in one list
- Every expiry on a single timeline
- Watchlists that catch drops automatically
- Alerts the moment a name you want is free
How it works
How a domain investor runs on InfraNest
The whole portfolio in one list, across every registrar
Connect each registrar with an API token and every name it holds appears with its renewal date, renewal price, auto-renew and transfer lock. Sort by expiry or price, filter by registrar or tag, and change auto-renew or contacts across hundreds of names in one go. Nothing is transferred: every name stays in the account it is in.
- GoDaddy, Namecheap, IONOS, TransIP, OVHcloud, Cloudflare, Porkbun, Dynadot and AWS
- Renewal price, auto-renew and transfer lock as columns you can sort
- Auto-renew, contacts and tags changed in bulk
- Renewal costs added up across the whole portfolio
Know when a name will really drop
An expired domain does not become free the next day. It passes through grace, redemption and pending delete, usually about 75 days in total, before the registry releases it. InfraNest tracks which stage each watched name is in and turns that into a date with a margin: about seven days either way during redemption, one day during pending delete. It also tells you if the owner renews after all.
- Every stage tracked, from expiry to drop
- A ± window that narrows as the date gets closer
- Checks speed up to once a minute near the drop
- Told when a name goes to auction instead, with a link to bid
Best-effort backorder — InfraNest keeps checking and grabs a domain the instant it drops, but can’t guarantee a catch on heavily contested names.

Deletion windows for .com are fixed by ICANN, so these are the registry’s real timings. The date can still move by weeks — the registrar chooses when in the first 45 days it deletes an expired name — and it firms up once the name reaches redemption.
Decide in advance what happens at the drop
A drop lasts seconds, so you choose beforehand and InfraNest acts without you. “Just tell me” sends an alert and nothing else. “Register it for me” tries your own registrars in the order you set and stops at the first that succeeds, with each one’s price shown before you arm it. A backorder hands a contested name to a specialist service, and you only pay if it wins. Alerts work on every plan; registering a caught domain starts on Pro, and backorders and parallel racing on Business.
- Your own registrars, tried in your order
- Each registrar’s price for the extension shown up front
- Backorders charged only when they catch the name
- Readiness checked first: contacts, eligibility and a registrar for the extension
Alert only. Nothing is registered and nothing is charged.
Order for .com
Backups add coverage and reliability — another registrar can cover a TLD the first can’t, or step in if one’s API fails at the drop. They don’t guarantee a contested catch, though: for hotly-contested names a professional drop-catch or backorder service usually wins.
A specialist catch service grabs the name ahead of the drop — the only approach that reliably wins a contested .com. You pay only if it wins.
We can’t bid for you — only registrars can.
Point hundreds of names without opening each registrar
Names you hold still need DNS: a parking or for-sale page, or records for a project you are building. Save the setup once as a template and apply it to as many zones as you like, with a preview of every record before it is written. A name you catch joins your portfolio straight away, ready for the same template.
- DNS templates applied across many zones
- A preview before any record is written
- An alert when a record changes outside InfraNest
- Caught names added to your portfolio automatically

Questions
Questions domainers ask
Which registrars can you track?
Connect GoDaddy, IONOS, Namecheap, TransIP and more with an API token — names and expiry dates sync automatically.
How does Drop Catch work?
Add a name you want to your watchlist and InfraNest follows it until it drops. Every plan alerts you; from Pro it registers the name through your own registrars the moment it is free, and on Business you can place a backorder instead. Either way, you hear the outcome.
Can I manage DNS for parked names in bulk?
Yes. Apply a parking template or point records across hundreds of names without touching each registrar.
Will I still get renewal warnings?
Every expiry lands on one timeline with alerts well ahead of the date, so you never lose a name you meant to keep.
Can you guarantee I catch a domain?
No, and nobody honestly can. For a name nobody else wants, your own registrar almost always gets it. For a sought-after name, a backorder is the reliable route, and it costs nothing unless it wins.
How long after expiry does a domain drop?
Usually about 75 days: a grace period, 30 days of redemption, then 5 days of pending delete. InfraNest shows which stage a name is in and the date it should actually become free.
Does InfraNest sell me the domains?
No. You register and renew through your own registrar accounts, at their prices. InfraNest adds nothing to the price and never handles the payment.
How many names can I watch?
Five watches on Free, fifty on Pro and unlimited on Business. The names you own count towards the domain limit: 10 on Free, 100 on Pro and unlimited on Business.
Not quite you?
Catch the names that matter.
A domain portfolio is only as good as the tooling around it. InfraNest tracks every expiry, surfaces opportunities, and tries to catch the domains you want the moment they drop — with bulk DNS to park and point names at scale.
