Manage Dynadot domains and DNS without leaving InfraNest
Connect Dynadot to manage the domains you've registered there, and their DNS, from one place.
- Domain visibility: see every Dynadot domain with its expiry date, status and nameservers, so you're not checking the Dynadot panel to know what's about to lapse.
- Renewals and auto-renew: renew a domain or switch auto-renew on or off without opening Dynadot.
- Registrar controls: change nameservers, transfer lock and WHOIS privacy from InfraNest.
- New registrations: register a domain, or use Dynadot as the target registrar when catching a dropping domain.
- DNS management: create, edit and delete A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, CAA and SRV records for domains using Dynadot's nameservers; existing zones are found and imported automatically when you connect.

Not supported
This integration doesn't manage cloud infrastructure or certificates, and it only manages DNS for domains that are both registered at Dynadot and using Dynadot's nameservers — DNS hosted elsewhere needs that provider connected separately.
How to connect it

Create a Dynadot API key
In your Dynadot account, go to Tools → API and create a v2 REST API key. Dynadot pairs it with a signing secret shown at the same time.

Open the Dynadot integration
In InfraNest, go to Integrations and open Dynadot. Give the connection an Account label if you want to tell it apart from others later.

Paste your credentials
Enter your API key and API secret. Optionally add a Webhook key and Webhook secret so Dynadot can notify InfraNest of changes.

Connect
Select Connect. InfraNest checks the credentials and starts importing your domains and DNS zones.

Questions
#What happens if my Dynadot API key is revoked or expires?
InfraNest shows an authentication failed error and can no longer read or change anything in that Dynadot account. Create a new API key in Dynadot and reconnect to restore access.
#Can InfraNest change settings on the Dynadot side, or only read them?
Both. Renewals, auto-renew, nameservers, transfer lock, WHOIS privacy and DNS records made in InfraNest are sent to Dynadot, and the change applies there, not just in InfraNest's view.
#Can I manage DNS for a domain registered at another provider but pointed at Dynadot?
No. DNS zones can only be managed here for domains registered with Dynadot itself, not for a domain registered elsewhere.
#Is it safe to edit the same DNS zone in InfraNest and the Dynadot panel at the same time?
No. Dynadot has no way to change a single record — saving one rewrites the whole zone — so if you edit in both places at once, the last save wins. Pick one place at a time.
#Will every domain action be available for every domain?
Not necessarily. Which actions you can take depends on the domain's extension, and anything Dynadot doesn't support for that TLD is greyed out with the reason.
