Manage Porkbun from InfraNest

Manage Porkbun domains, DNS and SSL without leaving InfraNest

Connect Porkbun and manage the domains registered there — plus their DNS and free SSL certificates — from InfraNest instead of switching to Porkbun's own panel.

  • Domain oversight in one view: see every Porkbun domain with its expiry date, status and nameservers, and register, renew or transfer one in.
  • Nameservers, contacts and auto-renew: change these directly, without opening Porkbun.
  • DNS records that stay accurate: create, edit and delete records for your Porkbun domains, including A, AAAA, MX, CNAME, ALIAS, TXT, NS, SRV, TLSA, CAA, SSHFP, HTTPS and SVCB — each record keeps its own identity, so a change made anywhere is reflected correctly rather than duplicated.
  • Certificates tracked alongside domains: the free SSL certificate Porkbun issues for each domain shows up in your certificate inventory, with its expiry visible so you're not caught out.
  • Existing zones found automatically: connect once and your current DNS zones are imported without extra setup.

NoteDNS management here only covers domains registered at Porkbun. A domain registered elsewhere needs that provider connected separately.

What you can do

  • Domain, DNS and certificate inventory in one view
  • Register, renew and transfer domains
  • Full DNS record management, 13 record types
  • Certificate expiry tracked automatically
  • Tag and cost-track Porkbun resources with every other provider

Not supported

InfraNest doesn't manage cloud infrastructure through this integration — Porkbun only covers domains, DNS and certificates here. Transfer lock, WHOIS privacy and transfer (EPP/auth) codes also stay in the Porkbun panel, since Porkbun's API doesn't expose changing or issuing them.

How to connect it

  1. 1

    Create a Porkbun API key

Generate an API key and secret API key at porkbun.com/account/api, and turn on "Opt In All Domains" (or enable API access per domain) — a domain without it is listed but refuses every change.

  2. 2

    Open the Porkbun integration

Go to Integrations and open Porkbun.

  3. 3

    Label and connect

Optionally give the connection an Account label, then paste your API key (starts with pk1_) and Secret API key (starts with sk1_), and select Connect.

  4. 4

    Let InfraNest import your domains

InfraNest checks the credentials and imports your existing domains and DNS zones automatically.

Questions

#What happens if my Porkbun API key is revoked or expires?

Every action against your Porkbun domains will fail with an authentication error, and InfraNest will flag it. You create a new key and secret pair in the Porkbun panel and reconnect to pick up where you left off.

#Can InfraNest change my nameservers or auto-renew setting at Porkbun?

Yes — nameservers, contacts and auto-renew are all changed directly from InfraNest, and the change is sent straight to Porkbun. Transfer lock and WHOIS privacy stay view-only here since Porkbun doesn't allow changing those over the API.

#Does this cover DNS for domains I registered somewhere else?

No. Porkbun DNS management in InfraNest only applies to domains registered with Porkbun. For domains registered elsewhere, connect that registrar or DNS provider separately.

#What if a domain shows up but every action fails?

That domain almost certainly isn't opted in to API access at Porkbun. InfraNest marks affected domains with NO API so you can find and fix them in the Porkbun panel.

#Will InfraNest tell me if I'm about to run out of Porkbun balance?

InfraNest shows your Porkbun account credit so you can see it running low before a renewal fails, since Porkbun pays from a prepaid balance rather than a card.
