Quick answers to the questions new InfraNest users ask most often.

Overview

  • Covers domains, integrations, alerts vs. notifications, data exports, trials, team access, security, and the API.
  • If you need more detail on any topic, check that topic's own help article.

Add a domain

  1. Connect the registrar or DNS integration that manages your domain — its domains will sync in automatically.
  2. To register a brand-new domain or transfer one in instead, go to the Domains page and select Add.

Find missing domains, DNS, or servers

  1. Go to Integrations and connect the relevant provider.
  2. Wait for the first sync to finish — this can take a few minutes.
  3. If the list is still empty afterward, open the integration and check its Status for any health issues.

Get alerts in Slack, Telegram, Teams, or Discord

  1. Go to Alerts → Destinations.
  2. Select Add and connect the chat tool you want to use.
  3. Route the specific events you care about to that destination.

Understand Notifications vs. Alerts

  • Notifications (found under My account → Notifications) are your own personal email and in-app preferences.
  • Alerts control where your organization's alerts are routed — for example, to a team's Slack channel.

Export your data

  1. Go to Settings → Data.
  2. Choose a specific resource to export as CSV or JSON, or export everything at once as a ZIP.

Know what happens when your trial ends

NoteIf you don't upgrade before your trial ends, your organization automatically moves to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted — your data stays intact.

Invite your team

  1. Go to Settings → Team.
  2. Invite members by email and assign each one a role.

Check how your data is kept secure

  • Secrets are encrypted at rest.
  • The platform supports two-factor authentication (2FA).
  • Backups run daily.

See the Security article for full details.

Use the API

  1. Go to My account → Developer.
  2. Select Create to generate a new API token.
  3. Scope the token to only the abilities you need.

TipKeep API tokens scoped as narrowly as possible — only grant the access a given integration or script actually needs.

For the full list of available endpoints, see the API docs.
