Manage Discord from InfraNest

Get your InfraNest alerts posted straight into Discord

Connect a Discord channel as an alert destination and stop checking a separate dashboard for what InfraNest is telling you.

  • One channel, one webhook: alerts land in the exact Discord channel you chose when you created the webhook.
  • Test before you rely on it: send a test message from InfraNest to confirm the webhook posts correctly before you turn on real alerts.
  • More channels, more destinations: to post to a second channel, create a second webhook in Discord and add it as another destination — each one stays bound to its own channel.

NoteThe webhook URL is stored securely and isn't shown again after you save it, so keep a copy in Discord's webhook settings if you need it later.

What you can do

  • Webhook-based Discord destination
  • Test message before going live
  • Multiple destinations for multiple channels

Not supported

This integration only sends alerts out to Discord — it doesn't read anything from your Discord server or manage channels, roles, or other server settings.

How to connect it

  1. 1

    Create a webhook in Discord

In the target channel's settings, go to Integrations → Webhooks, select New Webhook, name it, and pick the channel.

  2. 2

    Copy the webhook URL

Select Copy Webhook URL so you can paste it into InfraNest.

  3. 3

    Add the destination in InfraNest

Go to Alerts → Destinations, select Add a destination, choose Discord, and paste the webhook URL.

  4. 4

    Test and save

Select Test to send a test message and confirm it posts, then save. Pick Discord when choosing where alerts go.

Questions

#Can InfraNest read messages or manage our Discord server?

No. This integration only sends alerts out through a webhook — it doesn't read channel content or change any server settings.

#What happens if the webhook is deleted or stops working in Discord?

Alerts sent to that destination will stop posting since the webhook it relies on no longer exists. Create a new webhook in Discord and update the destination in InfraNest with the new URL.

#Can we send alerts to more than one Discord channel?

Yes. Create a separate webhook for each channel in Discord, then add each one as its own destination in InfraNest — each destination posts to exactly the channel its webhook was created for.

#Can InfraNest change anything on the Discord side?

No, InfraNest only posts messages using the webhook you provide. It doesn't create webhooks, channels, or any other settings in your Discord server on its own.

#Will we ever see the webhook URL again after saving it?

No. InfraNest stores it securely and doesn't display it again after you save the destination, so keep a copy from Discord's webhook settings if you think you'll need it.
