Connect a Slack channel as an alert destination and stop checking a dashboard for problems you'd otherwise catch late.
- One channel, one destination: the webhook posts to the channel you picked when you created it in Slack.
- Test before you rely on it: send a test message from InfraNest to confirm it lands before you turn alerts on for real.
- Route by alert type: choose Slack as the destination when you decide which alerts — monitor status, domain expiry, certificate warnings — go where.
- More than one channel: create a second webhook in Slack and add it as another destination if you need alerts split across teams or channels.
NoteThe webhook URL is stored securely and isn't shown again after you save it, so keep a copy somewhere safe before you paste it in.

Not supported
This integration only sends alerts to Slack — it doesn't read messages, manage channels, or pull anything back from Slack into InfraNest.
How to connect it

Create a Slack incoming webhook
In Slack, add or open the Incoming Webhooks app, pick the channel alerts should post to, and copy the webhook URL.

Add Slack as a destination
In InfraNest, go to Alerts → Destinations, select Add a destination, and choose Slack.

Paste the webhook URL and test it
Paste the URL, select Test to send a test message, and confirm it lands in the right channel.

Save and route alerts to it
Save the destination, then choose Slack when deciding which alerts — monitor, expiry, certificate — should go there.
Questions
#Can we send alerts to more than one Slack channel?
Yes. Each webhook is tied to a single channel, so create a second incoming webhook in Slack for the other channel and add it in InfraNest as another destination.
#What happens if the webhook URL is revoked or stops working?
Alerts to that destination will stop landing in Slack. Create a new incoming webhook in Slack and update the destination in InfraNest with the new URL to restore delivery.
#Does InfraNest change anything in our Slack workspace?
No. InfraNest only posts messages to the channel tied to the webhook URL you provide — it doesn't create channels, change settings, or read anything else in your workspace.
#Can we see the webhook URL again after saving it?
No, it's stored securely and not shown again once saved. Keep your own copy when you first create it, or generate a new webhook in Slack if you lose it.
#Can Slack trigger actions back in InfraNest?
No. This integration is one-way — it sends alerts out to Slack, but Slack can't read data from or make changes in InfraNest.
