Troubleshooting

You're asked to change your password

If InfraNest asks you to set a new password before letting you continue, nothing is wrong with your account — a policy in your organization has asked for it.

If InfraNest suddenly asks you to set a new password before you can continue, don't worry — nothing is wrong with your account. This happens because a policy in your organization requires it.

Overview

  • Your organization controls how often passwords must be changed and how strong they need to be.
  • This prompt is a routine security measure, not a sign of a problem with your account.
  • You'll be able to continue straight into InfraNest once you've set your new password — no separate sign-in needed.

Why this happens

  • Your password has expired. Your organization sets how often passwords must change.
  • An administrator required a reset — usually after a security review, or if a password may have been exposed.
  • You were given a temporary password, and this is the moment you replace it with one of your own.

Change your password

  1. Enter your current password.
  2. Choose a new one that meets the rules shown on screen — these usually cover length and whether mixed characters are required.
  3. Select Save. You'll continue straight into InfraNest; no separate sign-in is needed.

TipLonger beats complicated. A passphrase of a few unrelated words is stronger and easier to type than a short scramble of characters — and don't reuse a password from another service. A password manager makes this easy, especially if your organization rotates passwords often.

Troubleshooting

It won't accept my new password

  • "Must be different" — you've used this password before. Policies usually block reusing a recent password.
  • It doesn't meet the rules — the requirements are listed on the screen; the most commonly missed one is minimum length.
  • You've tried too many times — sign-in attempts are rate-limited, so wait a few minutes and try again.

I don't know my current password

NoteSign out and use Forgot password instead. That sends a reset link to your verified email address.
