Create and customize a dashboard

Build a dashboard that shows exactly what you care about β€” pick your widgets, arrange them, and start from a preset if you'd like a head start.

Build a dashboard that shows exactly what you care about, whether you're keeping an eye on domains, servers, or everything at once.

Overview

  • Pick and arrange the widgets that matter to you.
  • Start from a ready-made preset or build from scratch with a Blank dashboard.
  • Create multiple dashboards for different parts of your Infrastructure.
  • Layout changes save automatically as you go.

Customize your dashboard

  1. Go to your Dashboard.
  2. Select Customize to start editing.
  3. Select Add widget from the list β€” there are charts, counts and status tiles for different parts of InfraNest.
  4. Drag a widget to move it, and drag its edges to make it bigger or smaller. On a phone, widgets stack into a single column automatically.
  5. When you're happy, turn off Customize. Your layout saves on its own β€” there's no separate save button.

Start from a preset

Not sure where to begin? Pick a ready-made layout when you create a dashboard:

Create and customize a dashboard

  • Overview β€” a bit of everything.
  • Domains & DNS, Drop Catch, Servers & Cloud, Monitoring β€” each focused on one area.
  • Blank dashboard β€” start with nothing and add your own widgets.

Then tweak it however you like using Customize.

Create another dashboard

You can have several dashboards β€” for example, one for domains and one for servers.

  1. Select New dashboard.
  2. Give it a name and pick an icon.
  3. Choose a preset or select Blank dashboard, then select Create.
  4. To make a dashboard open first when you sign in, use Set as default.

NoteYou can create up to 20 dashboards.

Change the date range

Some widgets show trends over time. Use the date range control at the top of the dashboard to switch between 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or 12 months. This control only appears when you have a time-based widget on the dashboard.

Other things you can do

  • Rename dashboard β€” give it a clearer name.
  • Duplicate β€” copy a dashboard as a starting point for another one.
  • Reset layout β€” undo your widget arrangement and go back to the preset's original layout.
  • Share β€” let others in your organization view or edit the dashboard.
  • Delete dashboard β€” remove a dashboard you no longer need.

TipIf a widget is cluttering your view but you're not ready to delete it, check Hidden widgets β€” you can bring it back later.

Troubleshooting

  • Changes not showing up? Make sure Customize is turned on before you try to add, move or resize widgets.
  • Don't see the date range control? It only appears when your dashboard has at least one time-based widget added.
  • Reached the dashboard limit? You can have up to 20 dashboards β€” delete or duplicate over an old one to free up space.
