Webhooks let InfraNest send you automatic updates about your infrastructure, so your own tools and systems can react without you checking manually.
Overview
- Webhooks push events from InfraNest to a URL you choose, in real time.
- Use them to trigger automations, alerts, or custom workflows in your own systems.
- Each webhook comes with a secret so you can confirm the messages really came from InfraNest.
Add a webhook
- Go to Integrations and add an endpoint.
- Enter the URL to send events to, a description, and choose which events it should receive.
- Select Save. InfraNest generates a secret you'll use to verify the requests.
Events
You can subscribe to events like a domain expiring, a domain or server status change, a monitor alert, DNS records changing, and the drop-catch lifecycle (dropping soon, available, registered, failed).
Verify deliveries
Each webhook is sent as a POST request, signed with your secret and timestamped, so you can confirm it really came from InfraNest. Deliveries are logged and retried automatically if they fail.
NoteKeep your webhook secret private — anyone with it could send fake requests that look like they came from InfraNest.
Other incoming connections
InfraNest also accepts a few incoming connections that your own tools call, each with its own token. For example, deploy hooks let you trigger a deploy from your CI system, and dynamic-IP updates let your router keep an IP address current (see Dynamic IPs).
TipIf a webhook stops receiving events, check the delivery log first — most failures are logged with enough detail to spot the issue quickly.
