Integrations are how you connect your provider accounts β€” like Hetzner, Cloudflare or AWS β€” to InfraNest, so your servers, domains, DNS and certificates all show up in one place. This article is for anyone who wants to understand what integrations do before connecting one.

Overview

  • Integrations bring in your existing resources from each provider and keep them in sync with InfraNest.
  • One connection can cover several areas at once, depending on what the provider supports.
  • You always see which actions a provider supports β€” anything it can't do is simply greyed out.

What an integration does

When you connect a provider, InfraNest brings in the things you have there and keeps them up to date. Each provider can cover one or more of these areas:

  1. Cloud β€” your Servers, Firewalls, Volumes, Networks and Load Balancers.
  2. DNS β€” your DNS zones and records.
  3. Domains β€” your registered domains and actions like renewing, transferring and updating nameservers.
  4. Certificates β€” your SSL certificates, added to your certificate list.

Connect a provider

  1. Open Integrations from the sidebar.
  2. Browse All integrations and pick a provider to see What this integration does and What you can do.
  3. Select Connect (or One-click connect, Use an integration key or Use an API token instead, depending on what the provider offers).
  4. Follow the provider's own instructions under Where to create it: and What this key needs to get the right credentials.
  5. Choose which features you want the connection to cover.
  6. Give the connection a label so you can recognise it later, then select Save.

NoteYour credentials are stored encrypted and are never shown again after you save them.

Manage a connection's health

  1. Open Integrations and select the connected provider to open its details.
  2. Check the Status indicator to confirm the connection is Working or see if This connection is failing.
  3. Select Refresh (or Sync now, where shown) to sync on demand instead of waiting for the scheduled sync.
  4. If a sync fails, you'll be alerted β€” check Failing since {since} Β· {count} attempts for details.
  5. To add another account of the same provider β€” for example a second Hetzner project β€” select Connect another account.

TipYou can connect more than one account of the same provider at once. Use Rename account to keep multiple connections easy to tell apart.

Available integrations

  • Cloud, DNS, domains and certificates: Hetzner, Cloudflare, Amazon Web Services, TransIP, GoDaddy, IONOS, Namecheap, SSL.com.
  • Alert destinations (where your alerts are delivered): Slack, Microsoft Teams, Telegram, Discord.
  • Automation tools (send InfraNest events out, and let them act on InfraNest in return): Zapier, Make, n8n, or any system of your own with a custom webhook.

Each integration has its own Connect guide with the exact steps for that provider.
